Financial Consulting Staff

Job Description/Profile

  • Assistance in identifying and prioritizing areas for improvement in client accounting environment
  • Ability to be innovative and design with little guidance or direction in approach for developing and implementing solutions
  • Provides leadership in the development and continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives for client
  • Develops and maintains strong communication skills in working relationships with client and team
  • Researches accounting issues
  • Develops and Implements financial reporting processes and reports for review with client
  • Advises client on proper accounting processes and controls for added efficiency and correctness
  • Assists and oversees the monthly close process of various clients
  • Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • One to three years accounting experience preferred
  • Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles
  • Proficiency in use of computers and computer accounting software programs
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Some travel may be required

    Audit Manager

    Job Description/Profile

  • Demonstrate professionalism through a positive and cooperative attitude and by maintaining the confidential and proprietary nature of client relationships and related work product.
  • Attain client confidence and effectively manages a portfolio of clients and engagements.
  • Identifies potential management letter comments.
  • Researches accounting issues.
  • Recognizes potential problem areas in specific engagements and work them with engagement partner to assess alternative solutions and implement solutions to resolve the.
  • Develops and is accountable for the engagement work plan and assures assigned tasks and responsibilities are achieved within budget.
  • Assists with more complicated segments of audit and accounting engagements.
  • Maintain the highest of technical and professional standard.
  • Takes a leadership role in professional, business or community organizations.
  • Coach, train and develop auditing staff to help them reach their full potential.
  • Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting; 3.5 or higher GPA in major preferred; advanced degree preferred.
  • Three to five years audit experience in public accounting.
  • Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles; knowledge of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), Government Auditing Standards (GAS Yellow Book) and Generally Accepted Governmental Accounting Standards (GAGAS).
  • Proficiency in use of computers and computer accounting software programs.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Holds a current and valid certified public accountant's license.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Some travel may be required.

  • Proven experience leading teams, preferred.
  • Experience with Lacerte software and ProSystem Engagement, preferred.

    Wealth Management Assistant

    Job Description/Profile

    This position supports the daily activities of the Wealth Management practice, including financial advisors, accounting staff, clients and vendors. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Interact with clients by phone, email and in person to answer questions, gather information, complete new account applications and/or fund transfer requests.
  • Act as liaison with financial institution such as broker-dealer, custodian institutions, mutual fund companies, money managers, and insurers.
  • Initiate, track and expedite new account processes and fund transfers/trades.
  • Process investment account/insurance paperwork, correspondence, and perform marketing and data analysis.
  • Review applications to ensure accuracy and completion for transmittal.
  • Gather information for and assist with client meetings.
  • Manage advisor's calendar, including scheduling appointments with clients and wholesalers.
  • Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree; finance or related business studies preferred, but not required.
  • Prior administrative/sales support experience (2-5 years); financial services industry experience preferred.
  • Securities and Insurance licensed preferred, or willingness to obtain.
  • Skills

  • Writing: thank you cards, client letters, marketing materials, etc.
  • Computer: comfortable with emerging technologies like client relationship management software (CRM), online financial services, financial planning software, etc.
