Daniel A. Kosmatka, CPA, PFS – PartnerDaniel A. Kosmatka, CPA, PFS – Partner

A native of the Rogue Valley, Dan Kosmatka graduated from Southern Oregon State College (now Southern Oregon University) with a B.S. degree in Business Administration. After gaining extensive experience while working for Deloitte Haskins & Sells, a “Big 8” accounting firm, in Honolulu, Portland, and Medford, he purchased its Medford office in 1976.

Dan specializes in taxation, financial planning, and estate planning. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA). He is also a Registered Representative of 1st Global Capital Corp., Member FINRA/SIPC, and an Investment Adviser Representative of 1st Global Advisors, Inc.

Dan is currently a member of the Medford Chamber of Commerce, a past Member and past Chairman of the Providence Community Board, Treasurer of the St. Mary's Endowment Fund, and a Board Member of the Gordon Elwood Foundation and the Southern Oregon University Foundation. He was also a past member of governing council of the AICPA; past President, Vice President, Secretary, and Board Member of the OSCPA, past President of Southern Oregon Estate Planning Council, and past Officer, Board Treasurer, and Member of Medford Rotary Club.

Outside the office, Dan enjoys working out, golfing, and playing racquetball. One of his favorite pastimes is feeling the rush of the wind as he explores the country by motorcycle. He likes swimming and snorkeling in the open sea, spending time with friends and family, and helping his grandchildren in their life adventures.

Stewart C. Parmele, CPA – PartnerStewart C. Parmele, CPA – Partner

Stewart has lived in the Rogue Valley since 1987. He graduated from Southern Oregon University (formerly Southern Oregon State College) in 1990 and was certified by the Oregon State Board of Accountancy in 1993. Stewart began working for Michael L. Piels CPAs, LLP in 1990. Stewart is currently licensed as a CPA in both Oregon and California and is a licensed Municipal Auditor in Oregon. Stewart is also a member of the Peer Review Committee for the Oregon Society of CPAs.

In 1997, Stewart became a partner in the firm with a focus in audit, accounting and tax services for state and local governmental agencies, not-for-profit organizations, employee benefit plans, and commercial business entities. He is also qualified to perform peer review engagements in accordance with the standards established by the Peer Review Board of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  Stewart's previous business experiences include eight years as a licensed journeyman electrician in the construction industry and three years in the U.S. Army.

Stewart's community involvement includes having served as an Officer of the Medford Jaycee's as treasurer and board member. Currently he serves on the Finance Committee, and as Board Treasurer of the United Way of Jackson County.  Stewart is also on the Oregon Board of Accountancy Code of Professional Conduct Committee.

Robert W. Hague, CPA – PartnerRobert W. Hague, CPA – Partner

Robert, a Rogue Valley resident most of his life, graduated from Crater High School, Central Point in 1983. He achieved his college education at Southern Oregon University (formerly Southern Oregon State College) in 1993. Robert did not go college right from high school, he spent the Spring, Summer and Fall for ten years working as a river guide in Oregon, California, West Virginia, Maryland, and Arizona, spending three of those summers working as a river guide in the Grand Canyon. During this same period of time Robert spent four winters in New Hampshire and Oregon working at ski areas. After graduating from college, Robert worked from 1993 to 2005 for accounting firms in the Medford area, spending ten years with Dale E. Foster, CPA P.C.

In December 2005, Robert became a CPA for Michael L. Piels CPAs, LLP. In January 2007, Robert became a partner in the firm with a focus in tax, accounting and audit services for individuals, businesses, and not-for-profit entities. Robert also has significant experience in Employee Benefit Plans. Robert's accounting and tax experience consists of providing a full service personable mentality to his clients. Robert's community involvement presently consists of being a member of the advisory committee for the business technology department of Rogue Community College.

On a personal note: Robert enjoys spending time with his wife Ann and their two daughters Alexa and Milan. Robert's other interests consist primarily of outdoor activities such as rafting, golf, travel and following the Oregon Duck athletic programs.

Mark E. Damon, CPA, MACC – PartnerMark E. Damon, CPA, MACC – Partner

Mark grew up in the Rogue Valley before leaving to attend Oregon State University (OSU).  He received his B.S. in Business Administration (Accounting) from OSU in early 2002.  Upon graduation he accepted a position as an Audit Associate at Grant Thornton LLP (international CPA firm).  His clients at Grant Thornton ranged from a small publicly traded entity to large municipals in the Portland metropolitan area.  Mark left Grant Thornton to pursue his Masters of Accounting at the University of Oregon (UofO) in late 2004.  Upon receiving his Masters of Accounting, he accepted a position in Portland with Ernst & Young (“Big 4” International CPA firm) where he spent multiple years as a Senior Auditor.

After several years at Ernst & Young Portland, both his wife and he decided to move back to the Rogue Valley. Mark spent almost four years at PRS as the Vice President and Corporate Controller for PRS where he oversaw 50+ operating entities (and accounting for over $1 Billion in Assets).  Mark was responsible for a staff of 30+ individuals, budgets, financial reporting, and the audit/tax process. After 5 years in private industry, Mark decided it was time to move back into Public Accounting.  Mark joined Michael L. Piels CPAs, LLP, in September of 2012 as a Principal. He became a Partner in January of 2013. Mark’s experience blend between public accounting and industry provides a unique and balanced understanding of the pressures and complexities faced by organizations in today’s business climate.     

Mark's community involvement includes being an active member of the Asante Finance Committee. In addition, Mark is currently serving as a Board Member (Secretary) of the Oregon Society of CPAs, and the Past Chair of the Southern Oregon Chapter of the Oregon Society of CPAs.

On a personal note: Mark enjoys spending time with his wife Keeley and their two young children.  Beyond family time (which is all consuming these days), he enjoys snowboarding, travel, fishing, and other outdoor activities.

Jeny Grupe, CPAJeny Grupe, CPA - Partner

Jeny was born and raised on the island of Kauai before leaving to attend Southern Oregon University. In 2004, she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Public Accounting and a second Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science with an emphasis in Computer Information Systems. Upon graduation Jeny worked for Lithia Motors, Inc. During Jeny's four year tenure she obtained a comprehensive knowledge of the key business units and IT systems, was promoted to Audit manager, and was responsible for training staff, managing and performing SOX and operational audits. In 2009, Jeny accepted a position at Pacific Retirement Services where she became an Accounting Manager for multiple retirement communities. She oversaw staff and was responsible for budgets, monthly financial reporting, and the audit/tax process. After 8 years in private industry, Jeny joined Michael L. Piels CPAs, LLP in July of 2013 as a full time employee, and is currently involved in all aspects of the business.

Jeny is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts and the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants. She is currently serving as the Vice Chair of the Southern Oregon Chapter of the Oregon Society of CPAs

Jeny enjoys spending time with her husband. Together they enjoy hiking, snowboarding, volunteering in the community, and going on family trips. Jeny also enjoys theater and dancing hula.

Rory Tosh, CPARory B. Tosh, CPA - Partner

A native of the Rogue Valley, Rory Tosh graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southern Oregon State College (now Southern Oregon University) with a B.S. degree in Administration - Accounting. Rory was voted Accounting Student of the Year, and worked an internship with the Secretary of State Division of Audits.

Upon graduation, Rory began working for Kosmatka Donnelly & Co, LLP (now KDP Certified Public Accountants, LLP), specializing in tax and eventually becoming Tax Manager. In 1998 he went to work for Bear Creek Corporation as Tax Manager. While at Bear Creek Corporation, Rory created their tax department and successfully coordinated the transfer of tax functions from the parent company -a Japanese pharmaceutical- to Bear Creek Corp. In 2001 he returned to Kosmatka Donnelly & Co, as Partner, bringing Bear Creek Corporation as a major client. In 2005, Rory became Tax Manager for Lithia Motors, a large publicly traded auto dealer. In 2015, Rory returned to KDP Certified Public Accountants, LLP.

Rory is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has been on the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants Tax Strategy committee for many years.

Rory enjoys cycling, tennis, and playing guitar, harmonica and banjo in his time away from the office.

Susan St. Range, CPASusan St. Range, CPA - Partner

Susan St. Range is a CPA with extensive experience in both public and private accounting and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants. She began her accounting career in 1994 and specializes in individual taxation and working with the construction, transportation, medical, and not-for-profit industries. Susan has degrees from Southern Oregon State College (now SOU) in both Business and Psychology, to which she attributes her success in interacting with clients. She is a member, past President and Treasurer, and former Board Member of Southern Oregon Chapter of the OSCPA. She is an active participant and is on the board of the Brittney Ride for St. Jude, and provides unlimited support for her youngest daughter's ballet and drama activities. Outside the firm, Susan enjoys reading, relaxing at the river, blues music, gardening, and spending time with her son, two daughters, and her amazing new grandson.

Dennis W. Donnelly, CPA, PFS – PartnerDennis W. Donnelly, CPA, PFS – Partner

Also a graduate of Southern Oregon State College (now SOU) with a B.S. degree in Business Administration, Dennis Donnelly has wide-ranging experience performing and supervising accounting and auditing engagements of varied degrees of complexity. Prior to co-founding KD&Co, he was an auditor and supervisor with an international CPA firm and worked in the private sector as a Controller and Treasurer of a publicly held wood products manufacturer.

Dennis has extensive experience with family businesses, medical practices, wholesalers, manufacturing, banks, construction contractors, ERISA audits, nonprofit organizations, transportation companies, petroleum distributors, and other industries. Dennis has also been a Certified Valuation Analyst (currently inactive) and performs business valuations for mergers and acquisitions, estate planning, gifting, divorce, and other purposes.

A member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA), Dennis is also a Registered Representative of 1st Global Capital Corp., Member FINRA/SIPC. He is a member, past President, and former Board Member of Southern Oregon Chapter of the OSCPA; former Chair of the Oregon Board of Accountancy; and past Board Member and past Treasurer of Southern Oregon Regional Economic Development, Inc.

Outside the office, Dennis enjoys fishing the Rogue River and local lakes, tooling around the coastal dunes on his ATV, and restoring classic cars—currently a sweet ’87 blue and silver Chevy truck! An avid concertgoer, he especially enjoys music of the ‘60s. Dennis is a proud father of son Kevin and daughter-in-law Julie, and enjoys his new status as a grandfather.

Michael R. Gohde, CPA, PFS – Partner Michael R. Gohde, CPA, PFS – Partner

Michael Gohde joined the firm in 1985 and became a partner in 2000. He directs the firm's tax practice. He specializes in providing tax, estate, and business planning to individuals and companies, and particularly enjoys customizing wealth management plans for clients to help them achieve their financial planning goals. He holds B.S. degrees in both Mathematics and Business Administration from the University of Oregon.

Mike is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA). He is also a Registered Representative of 1st Global Capital Corp., Member FINRA/SIPC, and a licensed Life, Health, Variable Life Insurance Agent. He has served as past Board Member of the Southern Oregon Chapter of the OSCPA, past Member of the City of Medford Budget Committee, and past Secretary and past Chairman of the Donation Committee of the Kiwanis Club of Medford.

Outside the office Mike can be found running marathons, gardening, and playing the electric bass.

John BeallJohn Beall

John Beall has a wealth of experience in both public and private accounting, starting in 1987.  John gained significant knowledge working as the controller for three different small businesses, during which time he developed expertise in inventory management and construction accounting.  He also has considerable experience in setup and implementation of accounting systems, such as Peachtree, ACCPAC, and MAS90.  John has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Accounting, with a minor in Criminology.  While born and raised in Los Angeles, California, John’s favorite place to visit is San Francisco.  He also enjoys reading about American political history. John and his wife, Debbie, have two sons: Michael and Brandon, both of whom became Finance majors at Oregon State University.

Diane Berger, CPADiane Berger, CPA

Diane Berger is the firm's Accounting Services Manager. She is a CPA who worked as an accountant for corporate and non-profit entities before joining KDCO (now KDP) in 1997. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a special emphasis in Accounting at California State University, Fullerton. Her areas of expertise are working with business start ups, corporate and partnership tax returns, reviewed and compiled financial statements, special client projects, and the management and training of accountants assigned to the accounting services department.  She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants, and also one of two staff members certified as a QuickBooks Pro Advisor.  Diane's favorite pastime is watching her children play volleyball and basketball. All three have received collegiate athletic scholarships—Fresno State, Utah State, and Dixie College. "Go Teams!"

Aria Bettinger, CPAAria Bettinger, CPA

Aria graduated from the University of Washington in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy. She worked on a variety of small farms before moving to Southern Oregon in 2007. She returned to school to further her education and graduated with a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Accounting in 2013, with an outstanding 4.0 GPA. Upon graduation, Aria was offered a position within the Audit Department at Lithia Motors and worked there for over three years. She received her Certified Public Accountant certification from the Oregon Board of Accountancy in 2016.

Outside of work, Aria has co-owned Earth and Sky Family Farm in Phoenix since 2008. Her small organic farm serves the local community and often receives positive feedback about their products and services.

Sarah BrendleSarah Brendle, CPA

Sarah was born and raised in Medford, Oregon. She graduated from University of Oregon in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a minor in Business Administration. After working as a Child Services Investigator and a Project Manager for a large print company, she returned to school to pursue a new career in Accounting. She graduated from Southern Oregon University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with emphases in Public Accounting. Upon graduation, she was offered a full time position as an internal auditor for a large auto retailer. Sarah was certified by the Oregon Board of Accountancy in 2014 while working as an accountant and tax preparer at Practice Financial Group. She began working for the firm in June 2015.

Sarah enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially her husband and golden retriever, Gunner. She also enjoys running and exploring the outdoors.

Brenda ChalkBrenda Chalk

Brenda has worked in the accounting field for more than thirty years in Reno, NV and the Rogue Valley, joining Kosmatka Donnelly & Co. LLP as a staff accountant in 2011. She has a passion for her three children and one granddaughter, enjoying watching them play soccer for the past twenty years. She also loves watching her granddaughter dance ballet, tap and jazz. In her spare time, Brenda enjoys reading. Mystery books are her favorite. While in Reno, she was treasurer for the American Heart Association and dedicated some of her time to fundraising for the charity. Brenda is truly an asset to have on staff here at KDP!

Ben CohnBenjamin Cohn

Ben was born in Singapore and raised internationally until he attended college at the University of California, San Diego, where he attained a Bachelor's Degree in Economics. He is currently attending Southern Oregon University where he is earning a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Public Accounting and plans to sit for the Uniform Certified Public Accountant exam.

Ben enjoys spending time with his fiancé, Christina, and their dog, Chance. They love the wonderful outdoors of Southern Oregon and frequently go hiking, biking and adventuring.

Nick CollinsNick Collins

Nick began at KDP a year ago as an intern and officially joined the team in the Tax Department this year. He recently graduated from Southern Oregon University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration that included a certificate in Business Information Systems and received his credits for the CPA exam requirement. He participated in the Accounting Students Association and was Vice President of Finance for Alpha Kappa Psi while at SOU.

Alyssa DixonAlyssa Dixon

Alyssa grew up in Medford, Oregon where she graduated from South Medford High School.  She attended Southern Oregon University and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Public Accounting.

Upon graduating from SOU in 2012, Alyssa began working for the Firm as a full time employee.  She is currently going through the process of sitting for the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Exam.

Alyssa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially her daughter.  She enjoys playing softball and watching a variety of sporting events, baking, and reading in her spare time.

Annie DriverAnnie Driver, CPA

Annie grew up in Ashland and earned an interdisciplinary Bachelor of Science degree in Business-Chemistry from Southern Oregon University in 2002. She worked as a full charge bookkeeper and accountant for a number of years before returning to SOU to obtain her Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Accounting in 2011 and was certified by the Oregon Board of Accountancy in 2013. Annie joined the firm in December 2015 and brings her strong background in accounting to focus primarily on tax preparation and planning for individuals and small businesses in a variety of industries.

Outside the office, Annie enjoys reading, playing amateur pool, and enjoying all the Rogue Valley has to offer with her family, friends and two boxer dogs.

Tracy DuteyTracy Dutey

Raised in the Rogue Valley, Tracy attended Southern Oregon University in 1997 before leaving school to serve an enlistment in the US Air Force. After the military, she returned to Medford and worked in general aviation, with 3 years as a Customer Service Manager. She completed her Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration, Public Accounting track, and a certificate in Accounting Information Systems at Southern Oregon University in June, 2016. Tracy began as an intern with KDP in 2015 while attending SOU and was brought on as a full-time staff member in 2016. She has also begun preparation to sit for the Uniform Certified Public Accountant exam.

Tracy enjoys spending time with her husband Josh and his two boys, travelling as much as possible, and enjoying the outdoors.

Don EwaltDon Ewalt, CPA

Don joined KDP in May 2017 as a Senior Audit Manager. He manages several of their annual nonprofit and municipal audit engagements. He's a CPA and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Originally from Texas, Ewalt graduated from Texas Tech University in Lubbock and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Fine Arts. During nine years at Barnes & Noble, he obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas Tech University. Ewalt spent six years at the Dallas office of BKD, LLP, one of the largest public accounting firms in the United States. He specialized in working with higher education institutions, governmental municipalities, not-for-profits, foundations and charities. Ewalt has also worked with federal and state grant compliance requirements in addition to analyzing internal controls, aiding in preparation of financial statements and implementing new accounting standards. He served as the in-charge on the City of Lubbock, Texas, the City of Shreveport, La., the City of El Paso Employee's Pension Fund, Texas Wesleyan University, Centenary College, University of Dallas, Partnership with Native Americans and CHRISTUS Spohn Health System Foundation.

Denise FlansburgDenise Flansburg, CPA

A native Southern Oregonian, Denise graduated from Hidden Valley High School and then from University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. She worked as an auditor for Moss Adams, LLP in Los Angeles, where she was involved in the audits of nonprofits, manufacturing organizations, banks, and service providers. Denise has also worked in the Finance, Accounting, and Inventory management departments of small to large manufacturing organizations, including Harry & David in Medford.

Denise has spent the last three years honing her consulting skills working with non-profits and for profits. She has worked with clients to improve their financial reporting, understand and interpret their financial statements, understand profit margins, forecast future cash flows, develop budgets, prepare for audits, analyze inventory flow, and ensure compliance with rules and regulations. One of Denise's strengths is turning accounting and financial data into meaningful information to inform better business decisions and planning.

Outside the office Denise enjoys spending time with her husband Jason, her son and her pets. Most weekends you can find them out exploring the great outdoors, golfing, fishing, hiking, crabing, or just enjoying our beautiful area.

Vicki ForehandVicki Forehand, CPA

Vicki was born in a small coastal town in Northern California and raised in Southern Oregon. She graduated from North Medford High School and went on to the University of Southern California. She later graduated from Southern Oregon University (SOU), with honors, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a certificate in Accounting Information Systems. While attending SOU, Vicki worked as an associate for Isler Medford, LLC where she gained tax and advisory experience. After graduating SOU she accepted a position with Ashland Partners, LLP as an Associate in their verification practice. After considering her career path and goals, Vicki accepted a position with Moss Adams, LLP which provided significant opportunities to expand her tax knowledge. Vicki was able to capitalize on her previous experience at Isler (and life experience as a Realtor and mother), to move quickly through the ranks at Moss Adams; advancing to the role of Tax Manager in three years. Vicki made the difficult decision to leave Moss Adams and pursue a career in industry, at the Southern Oregon University Foundation. This transition brought into focus all of the aspects she loved about her career in public accounting and also gave her the insight of being "on the other side of the desk." Vicki's blended experience with public accounting, industry, and marketing gives her a diversely informed perspective she leverages to her clients' advantage.

Vicki is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is currently serving as Past Chair of the Southern Oregon Chapter of the Oregon Society of CPAs. She also serves as a member on the Women's Leadership Conference Finance Committee.

Outside the office Vicki enjoys spending time with her husband David, their two sons (Tyler, who is attending Oregon State University and Alex, who is working full time while attending Rogue Community College), and their puppy Oliver. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, playing tennis, and more recently, gardening.

Stephen HabermannStephen Habermann

Stephen moved to Oregon in 2001 from the San Francisco Bay area where he worked in private accounting at both large and small companies growing from a Staff Accountant to Corporate Controller. Since coming to Oregon Stephen spent 12 years at Lithia Motors as a Sales Tax Accountant. After working at Lithia he ventured away from Accounting for a few years and joined KDP in March of 2017 as a staff accountant.

Stephen is working on completing his BSBA from CSUEB, and plans to take the CPA exam. He has spent the last 6 years as Treasurer for Boy Scout Troop 88 in Eagle Point and Merit Badge Counselor. He enjoys spending time with family, friends and playing golf.

Lucia Hagy, CPALucia Hagy, CPA

Lucia Hagy is a CPA who began her public accounting career with KDCO (now KDP) in 1999. Over the years, Lucia has gained experience in the preparation of individual and partnership tax returns, and specializes in the preparation of corporate tax returns. She has also gained valuable experience in the preparation of reviewed and compiled financial statements for a variety of industries.

Lucia emigrated from the Netherlands as a young child and was raised on a dairy farm in Caldwell, Idaho. She attended the University of Montana on a running scholarship. She graduated in the top 10% of her class with a degree in Business Administration, which earned her membership in the National Honor Society, Beta Gamma Sigma. She later pursued an accounting concentration certificate at the University of Washington.

Lucia enjoys traveling with her husband, Michael, and their three children. Together, they have visited over 20 national parks. Lucia and her husband also stay active in the community by volunteering to coach their children's soccer teams for the last ten years.

Valen HerdValen Herd

Valen is a Southern Oregon native. Upon graduating from North Medford High School in 2007, he attended Oregon State University studying Electrical and Computer Engineering. He was accepted to Southern Oregon University in 2009 with a focus in Accounting and a minor in Accounting Information Systems. He was on the Dean's List in 2009. Valen graduated from Southern Oregon University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He held an administrative assistant internship at Pacific Retirement Services while in school. After graduation, Valen worked as a Senior Accounts Payable Administrator at Lithia Motors and was offered a position as a Staff Accountant at NIC Industries, Inc. before coming to KDP.

In his off time, Valen enjoys playing basketball, poker, board games, family time, and going on outdoor adventures with his fiancé.

Elly LengwinElly Lengwin

Elly was born and raised in Grants Pass and graduated from Hidden Valley High School in 2012. In 2014, she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Public Accounting and a certificate in Accounting Information Systems. Elly joined the firm as a full time employee in January of 2015 and is currently going through the process of sitting for the Uniform Certified Public Accountant exam.

Elly spends her free time with her family and close friends. She enjoys playing volleyball, yoga, and watching her younger brother play soccer.

Theresa McCoyTheresa McCoy

Theresa administers KDP’s Information Technology services, providing design, integration, and support for the firm’s clients and employees--as well as serving as Director of Marketing for the firm. Theresa has worked in the Information Technologies field since 1989, focusing on database design, network administration, programming, and technical training. Certified as a Quickbooks Pro Advisor, she can also help you integrate your computer accounting systems. "I love a mystery, and I love being a hero. It feels great to solve a problem or find the right solution for a client or colleague.” In her off time, Theresa plays timpani for the Rogue Valley Symphony, extra percussion for the Britt Festival Orchestra, and a little jazz drums with friends around the valley. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Sean, and three daughters—especially on the Oregon coast.

Lucia SavageLucia Savage

Lucia Savage was raised in the Rogue Valley and graduated from Phoenix High School.  She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Science from Southern Oregon University in 2002. She joined KDCO (now KDP) in 2006 and is currently involved in most services provided by the firm. Lucia enjoys spending time with her husband, Mike, and their children, camping, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

Andrea Saxon, CPAAndrea Saxon, CPA

Born and raised in South Lake Tahoe, Andrea's family later moved to Medford, Oregon where she graduated from South Medford High School. She attended the University of Oregon and Southern Oregon University, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Public Accounting, and a certificate in Accounting Information Systems. Upon graduation, Andrea worked for Lithia Motors, Inc. for over three years. During that time she gained extensive experience in internal controls, SOX and operational audits, financial reporting, IT systems, fraud investigations and financial statement audits. Andrea enjoys spending her free time with family and friends, hiking, golfing, traveling, yoga, and playing at the river, lake or coast.

Shannon Snook, CPAShannon Snook

Shannon is a staff accountant with 14 years experience in education fund accounting and 24 years in small business accounting. Snook graduated from Southern Oregon University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a focus in Public Accounting. She worked for the Grants Pass School District #7 for 14 years as a staff accountant and accounting supervisor. While there she prepared and maintained annual budgets, supervised internal controls, assisted multiple staff members with budgets and daily trouble-shooting solutions and was instrumental in training and transitioning from nine separate school accounting systems to a uniform system to ensure accuracy and internal controls.

Jamie StoneJamie Stone

Jamie joined the team as an Associate in 2017. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southern Oregon University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Her concentration was in Public Accounting and she also graduated with a minor in Economics. Stone was named 2016 Accounting Student of the Year at Southern Oregon University.

Debbie WrightDebbie Wright

Debbie Wright, (formerly Kosmatka) joined KDCO (now KDP) in 2009 and is experienced in bookkeeping for small businesses, primarily in the real estate industry.  Debbie learned the basics in accounting while helping her husband, Mike, administer their family business in real estate appraisal.  Since she joined KDP, she has gained experience in accounts payable, payroll, and accounts receivable.  Debbie enjoys spending time with her husband and children, reading, gardening, and participating in cardio activities—especially karate. A quote she lives by is: “Practice + Confidence = Success!”

Bryant ZwartBryant Zwart

Bryant moved to the Rogue Valley from the San Francisco Bay area in 2010. He worked in taxation before moving into private accounting where he eventually worked as a financial controller. He returned to public accounting in 2015 for the opportunity to serve a variety of different clients. He joined KDP in October of 2015.

Bryant has an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and passed the CPA exam in 2012. He is working towards his experience requirement with KDP and looks forward to earning his CPA certification within the next 12-15 months. He also serves as the Board Chair for the Siskiyou Mountain Club, and enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as the great outdoors!

Michelle JohannesMichelle Johannes

Michelle Johannes is the owner of mj communication which is a Marketing and Public Relations company that also focuses on Brand Awareness, Social Media, Client Outreach and Event Coordination. She is pleased to call KDP, Certified Public Accountants one of her clients. She, along with the KDP marketing team, is responsible for all of the KDP marketing and branding efforts both internally and externally.

Prior to mj communication she was the Membership and Marketing Director for Rogue Valley Country Club, managing all membership, marketing, sponsorship sales and member & guest relations. Prior to the Club she worked at the ABC affiliate in Eugene where she managed all of the quality and content concerning the brand and image of the station as a whole, as well as the editors, producers and designers on staff. She was also the Small Market Representative for ABC Affiliate Group representing 100 small markets to ABC News and ABC Entertainment group managers.

Michelle grew up in Medford and graduated with a Journalism and Communication degree from the University of Oregon. She is married to Glenn who is a teacher at Scenic Middle School. They have three young boys who are always on the move.
